A Wedding Above the Clouds
An elopement above the treeline, then dinner for thirty in a barn that smelled of pine.

They wanted to be married where the cell service ends. So we hiked — dress in a pack, suit jacket tied to a strap — and said the vows with the valley still full of cloud below us.
The best wedding pictures are the ones nobody poses for: the look between two people when they forget the camera is there. Up here, with the wind doing its best to steal the words, they forgot almost immediately.
